Let Me Introduce You to the NEW Special Little Lady in my Life
After nearly twelve wonderful years with my main squeeze Pixel, I lost her on New Years Eve. If you’ve been to the studio, you likely met her or if you follow my social media accounts, you’ve definitely seen her in photoshoots. Pix was the absolute best bunny any girl could ask for. She was so quiet, amazing all of you by her ability to stay put and never move at all during sessions. She would hold poses forever and do anything I asked. That was just her - I had nothing to do with that (other than holding her a whole lot when she was a baby.) She truly loved the kids and being in photoshoots with them.
Pixel wasn’t the first, and she won’t be the last, but I can’t imagine any bunny being better than her….they are certainly some “big shoes to fill”. I wanted to take my time searching for my next bun. I spent countless hours looking through bunny posts, contacting breeders, and had my mind set on a lop….specifically a mini lop. A litter was born that I was sure my new bun was a part of….but then I saw a post with this ADORABLE Holland Lop. It was love at first sight. I just felt in my heart this was the one for me. I contacted the breeder…it was a girl (which was a must for me). And she told me (without prompting) how she was a favorite and just so sweet. That’s when I KNEW she was the one for me. And as they say, the rest is history!
Maple has been here for a week today and she is already working super hard to fill those shoes. She does love to be held (she watched the entire Nascar race with my last weekend). She’s already done her own photoshoot and traveled back and forth to the studio. She’s also working on walking on a harness and sitting in place. And she has been an absolute gem through all of it.
She’s making her photo debut in Easter photos this year! You can catch her March 30th or April 5th! And while I can’t guarantee she’ll be fully litter trained by then, I can guarantee you she will love the snuggles.
